Laurel Klaassen has had many years of working with children and parents. She started her career in education as a Home Economics teacher. As many of her students would come to her for help with personal problems, she decided to continue her education by completing a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. As a school counselor for the past 25+ years, she discovered that she was being approached frequently by parents seeking help in dealing with their children. She has helped many parents through parenting seminars as well as one-on-one coaching.

Laurel keeps busy in her church by being a mentor mom for her church’s mom’s group, a member of the education ministry and as a spare praise team member. She also serves on the school board for the public school in her community. She enjoys swimming, going for walks and spending time in her kitchen trying new recipes. She and her husband are the parents of 3 daughters and have been blessed with 2 granddaughters.
